Important Info

Runs every Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 13:30. Meeting place Niguliste 2, right in front of Tallinn tourism & information center!

NB! This tour is meant only for solo travelers & very small groups (up to 5PAX). The tour is based on donations. Donations are accepted after the tour (1€ price is a booking fee).*

Groups bigger than 5pax should contact us at kadri@estadventures.ee to get a quote for a private tour or join us with 7€ per person.

This tour is meant to have big groups – that is the only way we can keep running them. If you do not like groups that are 30-40pax, please consider having a private tour.

About the walking tour

This tour will dish out the history and politics, but will also give you real-life tales from locals about what it was like to live in Communist Tallinn. Some of the stories will shock you, some are so absurd they will make you laugh!

Join us on a 2-hour English language guided tour through the Old Town and into the cool harbor area, and learn more about our communist history. Our guides won’t cover overly dates & figures, rather than we focus on stories and legends that will bring the city alive for each participant!

Our local storytellers are keeping things honest, simple & fun

Is this tour wheelchair friendly?

We are so sad to announce but it is not. It goes through streets of old town and up to Linnahall with lot of stairs.

How much should we donate?

Donation amount is everyone’s personal decision, but typically people donate 10-20€ per person.

Is there any food/toilet stops on the way?

We do not do any toilet nor food stops during this tour.

Will we pass an ATM?

Yes! Kindly ask you guide to point out the direction if you don’t have cash with you!

Do you accept donations via card?

No! We accept donations only in cash. Please make sure you have enough €’s with you to leave your donation to the guide!

If I don’t have anything to donate?

Then please be kind enough and don’t join these tours. If your guide does 2h hard work with the group & you leave nothing, it shows a huge disrespect to the guide and her/his work. These tours are free to join, however, if you stay on the tour, donations are obligatory.
